I was asked to help the Pinnacle team work out some of the finer details on their punch-out terrain for Deadlands: Dark Ages, and with a view to rolling out over other products.
The team already had a design in mind, which I helped finesse in Adobe Illustrator, and then designed some new pieces including trees, carts and corpses.

While this was the practical part of the brief, it was also necessary to be able to visualise the artwork in order to add it to the Kickstarter campaign.
Illustrator allows you to import assets directly in C4D. Scenes were then built and lit and rendered in Redshift, with compositing and grading performed in Adobe Premier. (Backgrounds are from 360 images of my own house).

A fly-by video shows some movement around it all.
